FICO, AppDirect Bring Cloud Apps to Financial Services

The cloud is changing how nearly every business operates, and here at AppDirect, we’re proud to play a central role in driving those changes across industries that span the globe. Financial services is a core pillar of this global cloud economy, which is why today’s announcement is particularly exciting: AppDirect now powers the FICO® Analytic Cloud marketplace, one of the first of its kind in the financial services technology industry.

FICO is a leading provider of analytics and decision management solutions. You probably know them best for the FICO Score—the most widely used credit score in the United States—but they also offer a range of analytics and decision management solutions, from customer engagement apps to credit decisioning tools. Now, FICO customers can use the Analytic Cloud marketplace to purchase and manage many of these solutions with a user-friendly interface, single sign-on, integrated billing, and other advanced features, all powered by AppDirect.

Not only that, but the launch of the Analytic Cloud marketplace has implications that are poised to ripple across the greater financial services industry. In a report we released last year, we found that nearly one in five top companies operates an app marketplace. However, the report also showed that certain verticals, including financial services, have been slow to adopt marketplace technology and make it a part of their overall business strategy.

With its marketplace, FICO has bucked this trend and positioned itself as an industry leader in cloud services delivery. For our part, we’re thrilled to enter this exciting new sector and partner with FICO to build an ecosystem around cloud services targeted to the specific needs of the financial services industry.
