Company’s App Distribution Strategies for Cloud Service Commerce Highlighted in Interactive Session
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., November 11, 2014 – AppDirect, the cloud service commerce company, announced today that Matt Kane, Head of Developer Services and Partnerships, will speak at this week’s Samsung Developer Conference, November 11-13, 2014, in San Francisco, Calif. In his session, “Enabling Indirect Distribution via APIs,” Kane will discuss how to simplify the technical onboarding process for developers and enable wide, global distribution in app marketplaces.
In February 2014, AppDirect and Samsung partnered to launch the Samsung KNOX Marketplace. The enterprise mobility marketplace serves as a comprehensive online portal offering KNOX solutions, as well as leading enterprise business apps and tools for IT managers to provision and administer these products on employee mobile devices. In his session, Kane will highlight the Samsung KNOX Marketplace example and explore how SaaS developers can maximize success through the marketplace.
When: Thursday, November 13, 2014, 2:30 p.m.
What: Matt Kane, Head of Developer Services and Partnerships at AppDirect, will lead the “Enabling Indirect Distribution via APIs” session at the Samsung Developer Conference 2014.
Topic: While distribution partnerships offer the promise of reach and scalability for indirect channel success, these deals are sometimes derailed by technical difficulties or lengthy development estimates. Samsung offers a case model for success, working with AppDirect to simplify the onboarding process through the use of open API standards and powerful self-service tools, and offering end customers a single portal to provision, manage and access applications across every device in their organization. This interactive session will highlight AppDirect’s best practices for standardized app distribution and showcase how companies, like Samsung, can leverage this to create compelling customer experiences, simplify the onboarding process and drive global distribution opportunities with the same upfront investment.
