AppDirect Partners with Bell Canada to Launch Nation’s First Cloud Service Marketplace
Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011
New marketplace poised to deliver innovative cloud-based solutions to small and medium-sized businesses across Canada.
San Francisco, CA, February 2, 2011 – AppDirect, the leading cloud service marketplace company, announced today the launch of Bell Canada’s new Bell Business Apps Store. The first of its kind in Canada, the Bell Business Apps Store offers innovative new cloud-based applications that allow small businesses to manage accounting, marketing, project management, human resources and more, all with convenient subscription model pricing, a single management portal, and full technical support. The Business Apps Store will now be available to Bell’s entire base of business Internet, phone, and mobile customers.
“Businesses are moving to the cloud at an unprecedented rate, and who better to help them get there than a provider they already trust? With the Business Apps Store, Bell Canada has a great opportunity to give its business customers immediate, user-friendly access to the cloud technology they’re already starting to explore,” said Daniel Saks, co-CEO at AppDirect.
The Bell Business Apps Store is now an integrated part of Bell’s Solutions for Small Business website. When customers visit the Bell site to manage their services, they’ll have the opportunity to create a free account at the Bell Business Apps Store and browse the application catalog. Once they find the right app, users can select free, single user, or multi-user versions, depending on their company needs and size. Most applications also offer free trials, so customers can test out the software before buying a subscription.
"Bell is demonstrating our continued commitment to providing innovative and cost-effective productivity tools to small and medium businesses," said Matthew Hurley, Bell's Senior Vice President, Small Business Market. "We look forward to providing SMB customers with best-of-breed business apps, enhancing the store's features based on user feedback and we invite the developers of Software-as-a-Service Applications to participate by contacting us through the Bell Business Apps Store."
